Keep track of registration deadlines, semester dates, class closures, auditions, visitation weeks, and performances for Weehawken Dance and Aerial.

Important: We sometimes hold classes on school holidays. Classes are canceled only on the dates specifically marked No Classes below.

August–December 2026

Fall 2026 Semester

July 13
Fall registration opens.

August 10
Fall scholarship applications are due. Learn more about scholarships.

August 24
First day of Fall dance and aerial classes. The semester includes 14 weeks of instruction and culminates in The Nutcracker, Remixed! at the Montrose Pavilion.

August 30
The Nutcracker, Remixed! auditions for featured and lead roles.

  • 12:30–1:15 PM — Aerial auditions for ages 13+ enrolled in Silks 3/4
  • 1:30–2:00 PM — Ballet 2/3 Fritz auditions
  • 1:30–2:30 PM — Ballet 3/4/5 auditions
  • 2:30-3:00 PM — Partner auditions for boys and young men ages 11+
  • 2:30-4:00 PM — Ballet 5/6 auditions
  • 4:00–4:30 PM — Hip Hop 3/4 auditions
  • 4:30–5:00 PM — Hip Hop 5/6 auditions

September 7 — No Classes
Labor Day. No dance or aerial classes.

Sunday, October 4 — Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley & San Juan Oktoberfest

Join us for the Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley, a fun community fundraiser benefiting Weehawken Creative Arts and the Sherbino Theater. The “race” begins at 12:45 PM. The San Juan Oktoberfest follows immediately afterward from 2:00–5:00 PM in Hartwell Park.

November 16–20
Parent Visitation Week.

November 23–27 — No Classes
Thanksgiving Break. No dance or aerial classes.

November 30–December 4
Final week of regular Fall classes.

Friday, December 4 — Ridgway Noel Night

Weehawken traditionally sends a group of dancers to perform during this festive Ridgway community event. Participating dancers and performance details will be announced closer to Noel Night.

Saturday, December 5 — Montrose Parade of Lights

Weehawken Dance traditionally participates with a parade float and dancers. Participation information and event details will be shared closer to the parade.

December 7–13 — The Nutcracker, Remixed! Show Week

The week includes six performances and five dress rehearsals with a split cast. Cast assignments and detailed show schedules will be emailed by lexi@weehawkenarts.org in October and posted in the Family Hub.

January–May 2027

Winter/Spring 2027 Semester

December 26
Winter/Spring scholarship applications are due. Learn more about scholarships.

January 4
First day of Winter/Spring classes.

February 15–19 — No Classes
Winter Break. No dance or aerial classes.

March 29–April 2
Ouray County Spring Break. No Ridgway dance or aerial classes. Montrose classes will meet as scheduled.

April 5–9
Montrose Spring Break. No Montrose dance or aerial classes. Ridgway classes will meet as scheduled.

April 19–23
Parent Visitation Week.

May 3–9 — Peter Pan Show Week

Dress rehearsals and performances take place at the Montrose Pavilion. Cast assignments and detailed schedules will be shared during the semester and posted in the Family Hub.
