Meet Our Dance and Aerial Instructors in Montrose and Beyond at all of our locations!
Our Teaching Philosophy
At Weehawken Dance, our dance and aerial instructors share a unified philosophy: every dancer deserves high-quality training, genuine encouragement, and a space where they feel seen and supported. Our faculty brings together a wide range of backgrounds — from ballet and jazz to hip hop, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and aerial arts — creating a diverse and well-rounded team that serves dancers and aerialists in Montrose, Ridgway, and Ouray County.
We believe great teaching is about more than demonstrating steps. It’s about nurturing confidence, curiosity, musicality, strength, and artistry in every student. Our instructors are committed to developmentally appropriate training that builds strong fundamentals while still allowing room for creativity, exploration, and joy. Whether a dancer is stepping into their very first class or progressing into upper-level technique, our goal is to create a supportive environment where students can grow at their own pace and discover what lights them up.
We also value connection — connection between teachers and students, between dancers and families, and across our entire community. Performance opportunities, mentorship moments, and class traditions help our dancers feel part of something meaningful. Our teaching team models professionalism, kindness, resilience, and a true love for the arts, setting the tone for the culture we aim to build inside every studio.
Across all locations, our dance and aerial instructors work together to ensure that every student receives thoughtful instruction, positive guidance, and clear expectations. We take pride in offering a program that balances strong technique with creativity, making room for dancers to challenge themselves, express themselves, and feel proud of the work they accomplish. At Weehawken Dance, our mission is simple: inspire movement, support growth, and help dancers of all ages thrive — both onstage and in life.
Natasha Pyeatte is an ABT® Certified Teacher through the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum (https://www.abt.org), with additional professional training in Pilates and aerial arts.

Tajiana Rueschhoff’s dance journey began at the age of 5 when she first stepped into a small ballet school in Mississippi, sparking a passion that would endure a lifetime. Growing up in Ouray, Colorado, she continued to nurture her love for dance with Weehawken, honing her skills over the years. Travel played a pivotal role in her development, allowing her to train under diverse instructors and immerse herself in various dance styles. Summers were often spent in intensive training at the Kansas City Ballet, further shaping her dedication to dance. Tajiana pursued her passion with pre-professional training at the Northwest Florida Ballet. Now, back in Ouray, she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Geology at the University of Florida while eagerly embracing the opportunity to share her profound love for dance through teaching.
