Nutcracker Rehearsals: October 6–11

We’re looking forward to another week of Nutcracker rehearsals! Our updated schedule includes Tuesday, October 6; Wednesday, October 7; Thursday, October 8; Saturday, October 10; and Sunday, October 11.

Locations This Week

We’re in the middle of moving, so rehearsals will take place at both the new studio and the Field House. Please follow the location listed in each schedule block. Thank you for being patient as we work through the transition—we’ll notify affected families as far in advance as possible if anything changes.

New studio: 28 West South 4th Street, Montrose, CO
Wednesday Battle Scene: Field House

Beginning Sunday, October 11, all rehearsals will take place at the new studio. Beginning Monday, October 12, all classes previously held at the Field House will also move to the new studio.

Wednesday Party Scene Rehearsals

These Party Scene rehearsals are for specific casts and shows:

Pang’s Ballet 1/2 — Cast A, Show 2: 4:00–5:00 p.m. at the new studio. Hannah, Jacob, Aspen, Olivia P., Isla, and Sarah.
Leeann’s Primary Ballet — Cast B, Show 4: 5:15–6:00 p.m. at the new studio. Madelyn, Madison, Sienna, Wren, Piper, and Rue.

Thursday Rehearsals and Marley Tape

Emelye (Dew Drop) will practice Flowers with Pang’s Primary Ballet from 3:45–4:30 p.m. at the new studio. Natalie’s Dragon Trio rehearsal and Jadyn and Noah’s Snow Pas de Deux rehearsal are also scheduled for Thursday; please check the schedule for their times and locations.

All Level 5/6 dancers should stay 25 minutes after class Thursday to help remove the tape from the Marley floor. Please plan for pickup 25 minutes after class ends. Thank you for pitching in to help with the studio move!

Saturday Hip-Hop Rehearsals

Val’s Black Diamond Trios, Harlequin Doll solos, and Nutcrackers will rehearse Saturday, October 10, at the new studio. Please check the updated schedule for your dancer’s assigned time.

Rehearsal Attendance and Away Dates

Please add planned absences to the Away Dates calendar at least one week before rehearsal so we can plan ahead. The schedule will note which rehearsals are affected by known absences. If your dancer is not listed as absent, we expect them to attend each rehearsal assigned to them. If plans change, please update the calendar and let us know as soon as possible.

Class Show Splits

Nutcracker Remixed 2026 — Leads & Upper-Level Dancers

Show Week: December 7–13, 2026
Location: Montrose Pavilion

Please review every show and rehearsal assigned to your dancer, including any classes they assist. Open the PDFs below for rehearsal assignments, show orders, and call times.

Use your earliest assigned call time. Leads and upper-level dancers may perform in multiple shows, and their assignments may differ from those of their classmates.

Show 1 — Cast A: Wednesday, December 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Show 2 — Cast A: Thursday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m.
Show 3 — Cast B: Friday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m.
Show 4 — Cast B: Saturday, December 12 at 1:00 p.m.
Show 5 — Cast C: Saturday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m.
Show 6 — Cast C: Sunday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m.

Dress Rehearsal & Performance PDFs

Full dress rehearsals take place Monday for Show 1, Tuesday for Show 5, and Friday for Show 3. Selected dress rehearsals take place before the Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday performances. Check both the rehearsal and performance PDFs for each assigned show.

Lead & Ballet 5/6 Assignments

Leads are assigned by individual show. Please check the cast list for your exact roles and show assignments.

Ballet 5/6 students do not perform separate Ballet 5/6 class dances. They perform in their assigned featured groups—Snowflakes, Flowers, and Marzipan—along with any additional lead roles or other class dances. Check each group’s show assignments separately.

Dress Rehearsal Expectations

Hair: Styled appropriately for your role and compatible with headpieces.
Makeup: Not required for dress rehearsal, but light makeup is recommended for photos.
Attire: Bring all required costumes, shoes, tights, and accessories. Older tights are fine for rehearsal if they are the correct style and color.
No nail polish or jewelry, except stud earrings.
Allow time to warm up before your assigned stage call. Arrive for performances with show hair and makeup done.

Dressing Room Assignments & Etiquette

Use your assigned dressing room and follow any separate quick-change instructions.
Dancers in Dressing Rooms A & B may not leave until the room is cleaned and approved by the Dressing Room Supervisor.
Keep costumes and personal belongings organized. Clean up thoroughly in all dressing rooms, the Conference Room, and the Quick Change Work Room.

Clean-Up Assistance — Mandatory

If you are not performing Sunday, stay after your final show to help with costume check-in and sorting, trash pickup, and dressing room cleanup.
Leads and upper-level dancers must report directly to Natasha for assignments.
Plan for up to one extra hour. Failure to assist may affect future show fees.
