🎭 Thursday Dress Rehearsal & Performance Information 5/7/26 – for Weehawken's Cinderella

*Performances are split cast. Please review your dancer’s dress rehearsal and performance details in the personalized email from Lexi (lexi@weehawkenarts.org). If you can’t find it, please check your spam/junk folder.
*Parent Visitation Week (April 20-April 24) is a great time to connect with teachers and clarify any logistics. Most costumes will be sent home with dancers during that week.
NOTES REGARDING THURSDAY SPECIFICALLY
- This show day includes a dress rehearsal earlier the same day for students performing in this show who have not yet had a dress rehearsal or performance this week. This group is primarily our Level 1/2 classes.
- If your dancer performed on Wednesday, they likely do not attend Thursday’s dress rehearsal—please follow your dancer’s specific Show Information.
- Please double-check your dancer’s Show Information and call times based on their class/role(s).
- Students who are not performing again this week must turn in costumes after the show. Costume check-in will open at intermission.
- Students may change into street clothes after their final dance so they can turn in costumes before the show ends and may take bows in street clothes if needed.
- For this day, the dress rehearsal will be run by groups (not by acts). We will begin with Group 1, which includes all aerial silks performers and select soloists who perform between these dances.
- The Thursday dress rehearsal will focus on specific classes and scenes (not full show runs) that perform in the show this evening. We have done our best to include all required lead roles and groups. If you see something you are typically part of and are not listed, please check with Miss Natasha. When in doubt, ask.
DRESS REHEARSAL:
- Thursday dress rehearsal is mandatory for all students performing in Thursday’s show who have not yet had a dress rehearsal or performance this week.
- Please arrive in costume with a robe covering it and show hair complete.
- Makeup is not required for dress rehearsal but is required for the performance.
- Reminder: No nail polish or jewelry except stud earrings.
- Dress Rehearsal Arrival Times (be ready to start upon arrival):
- Dress Rehearsal Note: Group call times are not listed in show order. We will be starting with Act 2, so please double-check which Group your dancer is assigned to and arrive at that group’s call time.
- Group 1: 2:15 pm
- Group 2: 3:00 pm
- Group 3: 3:45 pm
- Group 4: 4:30 pm
- Dress Rehearsal Note: Group call times are not listed in show order. We will be starting with Act 2, so please double-check which Group your dancer is assigned to and arrive at that group’s call time.
- We anticipate completing the dress rehearsal by 5:25 pm.
- Parents are not permitted in the theater during dress rehearsal but are welcome to wait in the lobby.
- Some items (accessories and props) will remain backstage. These items are listed on the “Costume Includes” in your costume information (email).
- Please avoid packing anything that could stain costumes. This includes food and makeup.
EVENING PERFORMANCES (6 PM SHOW TIME):
- Call Time – Act 1: 5:30–5:45 pm
- Call Time – Act 2: By or before 7:00 pm
- No one is needed before 5:00 pm unless specified by your teacher or if a parent is volunteering for an earlier shift.
- Volunteers supervising children will be available starting at 5:00 pm. Until then, all students should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
FLOW OF THE EVENING:
- Students: Arrive for dress rehearsal by your assigned call time, drop your items in the conference room under your class sign, and proceed straight to the theater. Sit with your group, ready to begin.
- We will run the show, allowing time for spacing, entrances/exits, and apparatus/set/prop arrangements. Flexibility in timing is appreciated as we fine-tune details for a seamless performance.
- Groups 1–2: Expect to finish dress rehearsal with time to eat and apply makeup before the show (please keep a robe over costumes).
- Groups 3–4: Plan to stay at the theater between dress rehearsal and the show—pack necessities for this time.
- Dancers should be backstage at the start of the show and at the start of intermission. We line up Act 2 dancers in order during intermission, so timeliness is important. Pick-up is directly after the show.
QUICK REMINDERS (ALL PERFORMANCES):
- Hair & stage makeup complete; arrive in costume with a robe covering it.
- Reminder: No nail polish or jewelry, except stud earrings.
- Posed photos are welcome in the lobby. No posed photos on stage before the show.
- Drop-off and pick-up only before the show, during intermission, or after the performance.
- If a student sits in the audience during the act they are not performing, a ticketed seat is required and they should remain in a robe.

HOW TO READ THE SHOW ORDER NOTES
- Track #: The order of each dance within the act (music track number).
- Time 1: The length of the music track used in the show
(Example: 2:01 = total song length) - Time 2: How far into the act the dance appears
(Example: 20 = approximately 20 minutes into the act)
This represents the approximate timestamp if the act were to run straight through without pauses.
During dress rehearsals, we often stop to adjust spacing, lighting, and transitions — these times simply help us stay organized backstage. - Title: The name of the dance or scene.
- Music Link: The song used for the piece. You can download the music here to practice at home.
- Cast & Dancers: The character or class, followed by the names of the performers.
- Prep: What is needed for the dance in the hallway prep area. Miss Lexi organizes this — these are notes for our team.
- Costume Changes & Quick Changes: This information will be added in the coming weeks. Miss Lexi organizes this.

Tajiana Rueschhoff’s dance journey began at the age of 5 when she first stepped into a small ballet school in Mississippi, sparking a passion that would endure a lifetime. Growing up in Ouray, Colorado, she continued to nurture her love for dance with Weehawken, honing her skills over the years. Travel played a pivotal role in her development, allowing her to train under diverse instructors and immerse herself in various dance styles. Summers were often spent in intensive training at the Kansas City Ballet, further shaping her dedication to dance. Tajiana pursued her passion with pre-professional training at the Northwest Florida Ballet. Now, back in Ouray, she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Geology at the University of Florida while eagerly embracing the opportunity to share her profound love for dance through teaching.
