It’s show day! Thursday includes a dress rehearsal for selected groups before the evening performance. Here’s how to check your dancer’s schedule and plan your day.
Does My Dancer Attend Thursday?
Performance: Dancers assigned to Show 2 perform Thursday evening.
Dress rehearsal: Only the performers listed in the Thursday rehearsal PDF are called. Check both the class lists and featured roles.
Some dances will be run with music only to check the music and show order. Dancers in those dances do not need to attend for spacing, unless they are also listed for another dance or role in the Thursday rehearsal PDF.
Check every class and role your dancer is in. If they appear in more than one rehearsal group, follow their earliest arrival time. A dancer who rehearsed earlier in the week may still have a Thursday rehearsal assignment.
The rehearsal PDF tells you who attends and which group they are in. The performance PDF lists dancers, classes, featured roles, dances in performance order, and act assignments.

Thursday at a Glance
- Dress rehearsal: Arrive at your assigned group’s time below.
- Performance: Show 2 begins at 6:00 p.m.
- Act 1 performance arrival: 5:30–5:45 p.m., unless assigned an earlier call.
- Act 2 performance call: Backstage by 7:00 p.m.
- Act 2 aerial performers: Backstage at the start of intermission.
- Entrance: Front door.
- Check-in: As dancers enter the hall.
- Pickup: Lobby, after staff have released your dancer.
Afternoon Dress Rehearsal
Thursday’s rehearsal covers selected routines in groups, rather than a full show run. Your rehearsal group is different from your performance act. Find your group in the rehearsal PDF above.
Group 1
Arrive by 1:55 p.m.
Rehearsal starts at 2:00 p.m.
Group 2
Arrive by 3:00 p.m.
Group 3
Arrive by 3:35 p.m.
Group 4
Arrive by 4:25 p.m.
Arriving for Rehearsal
- Use the front door and check in as you enter the hall.
- Place belongings in the conference room under your class sign, then go to the theater and sit with your group.
- Arrive in your assigned costume, covered by a labeled robe, with show hair completed.
- Makeup is not required for dress rehearsal. It is required for the evening show.
- Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby. The theater is reserved for dancers and staff during rehearsal.
We anticipate finishing rehearsal by approximately 5:25 p.m. Timing may shift as we work on spacing, transitions, and equipment. Individual groups may finish earlier; wait for staff to release your dancer.
Between Rehearsal & the Show
Groups 1–2: Expect time to eat and complete stage makeup after your rehearsal work is finished. Before leaving for a break, confirm with staff that your dancer has been released and check their performance return time.
Groups 3–4: Plan to stay at the Pavilion between rehearsal and the performance. Bring what your dancer needs for the afternoon and evening.
Keep a robe over costumes while eating or waiting. If your dancer is called in multiple groups, they must complete all assigned rehearsal work before leaving.
Evening Performance — 6:00 p.m.
Act 1 is the first half of the show. Act 2 is the second half, after intermission. Check the performance PDF for every dance your dancer is in.
Act 1 Performers
Arrive: 5:30–5:45 p.m.
Follow an earlier call if one has been assigned.
Check in and join your group, with costume, show hair, and stage makeup ready for the 6:00 p.m. performance.
Act 2 Performers
Be backstage by 7:00 p.m.
Allow time to enter, check in, and reach your group.
Act 2 aerial performers must be backstage at the start of intermission. Do not wait until 7:00 p.m. if intermission starts earlier.
If your dancer also performs in Act 1, follow the earlier Act 1 arrival time.
For performers who are not called for afternoon rehearsal or another early assignment, supervision begins at 5:00 p.m. Before then, students should remain with a parent or guardian unless they are checked in for their assigned rehearsal.
What to Wear & Bring
Our main family guide has the packing checklist, costume care, tights, hair, makeup, tickets, and other information you’ll need for Show Week.
- No jewelry. Stud earrings are okay.
- Remove nail polish before arriving, and leave nail polish at home.
- Keep makeup out of young children’s reach. An adult should supervise makeup application and any touch-ups.
Pickup & Heading Home
- Meet your dancer in the lobby. Dancers must complete their performance responsibilities, clean their dressing-room area, and receive permission from the Dressing Room Supervisor before leaving.
- Drop-off and pickup take place before the show, during intermission, or after the performance—not while an act is running.
- Check that your dancer has all personal belongings before heading home.
- If your dancer performs again later in the week, keep the costumes they still need. Follow staff instructions about accessories and props that remain backstage.
Please allow time for cleanup and staff release when making plans after the show.
Is Thursday Your Dancer’s Final Show?
Return their Weehawken costumes on-site before leaving. Costume check-in opens after intermission for dancers who have completed all their roles.
Dancers who have finished their roles may change into street clothes to return costumes and may take bows in street clothes if needed.
