- About The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing: Although the French School of Classical Ballet dates back to the early 17th century, Imperial Classical Ballet aims to provide classical training for the 21st century dancer, offering something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Over its 110-year history the Imperial Classical Ballet Faculty, in all its manifestations, has supported ballet training to achieve, in the words of d’Albert “The elevation and advancement of the Art of Dancing, and the preservation of its ancient prestige and dignity.” It continues to lead and influence the international promotion of the English classical style. Miss Pang has earned the Fellowship in Imperial Classical Ballet with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)—the highest level of ballet teaching certification in the English-speaking world.

- Performance with Purpose
Weehawken Dance produces two major performance productions each year with exceptional production value—true highlights for both dancers and the community.- Our performances focus on more than just being on stage. Dancers learn:
- Ensemble work and timing
• Stage placement, costume changes, and backstage professionalism
• Collaboration across genres—ballet, jazz, hip hop, aerial, and more—in dynamic group numbers like our Finales
- Ensemble work and timing
- Our performances focus on more than just being on stage. Dancers learn:
- At Weehawken, You Don’t Pay for Costumes! Most studios require families to purchase a new costume for each dance—often at a high cost and worn only once. At Weehawken Dance, we do things differently. Instead of buying costumes, families pay a one-time show fee that supports the entire performance experience. We aim to reuse each costume at least eight times, which reduces both cost and waste. Think of it as a rental fee, not a purchase—because you’re not just paying for a costume, you’re investing in a high-quality, full-scale production.
