Tuition Pricing by County
Weehawken Creative Arts is committed to offering high-quality arts education in all the communities we serve. As part of that commitment, we work hard to balance affordability with the realities of our operational costs in each location.
Due to the substantial and steadily increasing cost of rents in Ouray County—where our long-term rates have risen by 20-30% annually since 2020—we have implemented a slightly different tuition structure for Ouray County classes compared to Montrose County. Additionally, classes in Ouray County tend to be smaller in size, which increases the per-student cost to operate.
While the tuition adjustments for Ouray County are modest—and in most cases, close to last year's rates—they do differ from Montrose class pricing. Montrose benefits from lower rental costs, thanks to our partnership with MRD and our higher volume of students, which allows us to maintain a more consistent rate structure in that community.
We remain deeply committed to accessibility and continue to offer scholarship and work-trade options for families with financial need. Applications are due August 14, 2025. Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission to sustain and grow arts education in Ouray and Montrose Counties. Monthly payment plans are available upon registration with no penalty for scheduling payments.
We hope our families and supporters will consider the broader picture as we work toward greater sustainability. Our Key to the Future capital campaign is focused on securing a long-term home for Weehawken, including planning for a permanent classroom structure on our campus. The current phase of the campaign is centered on preparing for that future—including reducing existing debt and laying the groundwork for future development. Cancellation Policies
- Any cancellations prior to the first day of class will be charged a $15 administrative fee.
- Any cancellations up to the third week of class will be charged a $15 administrative fee plus a prorated tuition fee.
- Class tuition is not refundable after the third week of class except for an authorized medical or injury scenario. In such cases, students can expect a $15 administrative fee plus a pro-rated tuition fee from the date of written notice.
- We encourage all students to participate in the performance, but it is not mandatory. The deadline for students to notify WCA if they do not wish to participate is by the third class of the session.
- Aerial classes are non-refundable.
- **Note: Some classes may have timelines outside the above; if so, those supersede the above.***
- If you are registered in a Level 3+ Dance class that runs year-round and you decide not to continue after the first semester, we are happy to withdraw you before the second semester. We want every student to feel successful and supported in their class placement.

Tajiana Rueschhoff’s dance journey began at the age of 5 when she first stepped into a small ballet school in Mississippi, sparking a passion that would endure a lifetime. Growing up in Ouray, Colorado, she continued to nurture her love for dance with Weehawken, honing her skills over the years. Travel played a pivotal role in her development, allowing her to train under diverse instructors and immerse herself in various dance styles. Summers were often spent in intensive training at the Kansas City Ballet, further shaping her dedication to dance. Tajiana pursued her passion with pre-professional training at the Northwest Florida Ballet. Now, back in Ouray, she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Geology at the University of Florida while eagerly embracing the opportunity to share her profound love for dance through teaching.
